# So sánh hơn nhất bằng tiếng Anh — Comparison cấu trúc và 20 câu bài tập VSTEP

## So sánh (Comparison) trong tiếng Anh

So sánh là cấu trúc ngữ pháp dùng để **đối chiếu hai hoặc nhiều đối tượng** với nhau. Trong đề thi VSTEP, so sánh xuất hiện thường xuyên ở cả 4 kỹ năng, đặc biệt trong **Writing Task 2** khi bạn cần so sánh ưu nhược điểm, và **Reading** khi đọc bài có biểu đồ, bảng số liệu.

## 1. So sánh hơn (Comparative)

Dùng khi so sánh **hai đối tượng** với nhau.

### a) Tính từ ngắn (1 âm tiết, hoặc 2 âm tiết kết thúc bằng -y, -er, -ow, -le)

**Công thức:** S1 + V + **Adj-er + than** + S2

| Quy tắc | Ví dụ |
| --- | --- |
| Thêm **-er** | tall → tall**er**, old → old**er**, fast → fast**er** |
| Kết thúc bằng -e → thêm **-r** | large → large**r**, nice → nice**r** |
| Phụ âm + nguyên âm + phụ âm → **gấp đôi phụ âm cuối + er** | big → bi**gg**er, hot → ho**tt**er, thin → thi**nn**er |
| Kết thúc bằng -y → **đổi y thành i + er** | happy → happ**ier**, easy → eas**ier** |

Ví dụ: *Tom is **taller than** Jerry.*

### b) Tính từ dài (2 âm tiết trở lên)

**Công thức:** S1 + V + **more + Adj + than** + S2

Ví dụ: *This book is **more interesting than** that one.*

### c) Trạng từ

- Trạng từ ngắn: *He runs **faster than** me.*
- Trạng từ dài (-ly): *She speaks **more fluently than** her sister.*

## 2. So sánh nhất (Superlative)

Dùng khi so sánh **một đối tượng với tất cả** trong nhóm (từ 3 trở lên).

### a) Tính từ ngắn

**Công thức:** S + V + **the + Adj-est** (+ in/of...)

| Quy tắc | Ví dụ |
| --- | --- |
| Thêm **-est** | tall → the tall**est**, old → the old**est** |
| Kết thúc bằng -e → thêm **-st** | large → the large**st** |
| Gấp đôi phụ âm cuối + est | big → the bi**ggest**, hot → the ho**ttest** |
| Đổi y → iest | happy → the happ**iest** |

### b) Tính từ dài

**Công thức:** S + V + **the most + Adj** (+ in/of...)

Ví dụ: *This is **the most beautiful** city **in** Vietnam.*

## 3. So sánh bằng (Equal Comparison)

**Công thức khẳng định:** S1 + V + **as + Adj/Adv + as** + S2

**Công thức phủ định:** S1 + V + **not as/so + Adj/Adv + as** + S2

Ví dụ:

- *She is **as tall as** her mother.* (Cô ấy cao bằng mẹ.)
- *This car is **not as expensive as** that one.* (Xe này không đắt bằng xe kia.)

### So sánh bằng với danh từ

**Công thức:** S + V + **as much/many + N + as** + ...

- *He earns **as much money as** his wife.*
- *She has **as many books as** I do.*

## 4. So sánh kép (Double Comparatives)

Diễn tả sự **thay đổi song hành**: càng...càng...

**Công thức:** **The + comparative..., the + comparative...**

| Adj dài | The more + Adj..., the more + Adj... | **The more difficult** the exam, **the more careful** you should be. |
| Danh từ | The more + N..., the more + N... | **The more** you practice, **the more** progress you make. |
| Ít hơn | The less..., the less... | **The less** you sleep, **the less** productive you are. |

## 5. Tính từ / trạng từ bất quy tắc

| much / many | **more** | **the most** |
| little | **less** | **the least** |
| far | **farther / further** | **the farthest / the furthest** |
| old | **older / elder** | **the oldest / the eldest** |

**Phân biệt farther vs further:**

- **farther**: khoảng cách vật lý — *The airport is **farther** than I thought.*
- **further**: trừu tượng (thêm nữa) — *For **further** information, please contact us.*

## 6. Các cấu trúc so sánh đặc biệt thường gặp trong VSTEP

| Cấu trúc | Nghĩa | Ví dụ |

| S + V + **much/far/a lot + comparative** | ...hơn nhiều | This is **much better** than that. |
| S + V + **a little/slightly + comparative** | ...hơn một chút | He is **slightly taller** than me. |
| **one of the + superlative + plural N** | một trong những...nhất | Ha Noi is **one of the oldest cities** in Vietnam. |
| **the second/third + superlative** | ...nhất thứ hai/ba | It is **the second largest** country. |

| 14 | **A. fewer** | Friends = danh từ đếm được → fewer (không phải less). Less + danh từ không đếm được. |
| 15 | **A. the better you become** | So sánh kép: The more...the + comparative + S + V. |
| 16 | **A. as / as** | So sánh bằng: as expensive as. |
| 17 | **A. more peaceful** | Peaceful (dài) → more peaceful + than. |
