Part 3 — Cấu trúc lập luận
Part 3 kéo dài 5 phút. Bạn nhận một chủ đề (topic statement) và phải trình bày quan điểm cá nhân, sau đó trả lời câu hỏi mở rộng (follow-up questions) từ giám khảo. Đây là phần khó nhất vì đòi hỏi tư duy phản biện và khả năng lập luận bằng tiếng Anh.

2. Cấu trúc bài trình bày (P.E.E.L.)

3. Mẫu câu nêu quan điểm
- Đồng ý mạnh: "I strongly agree that...", "I firmly believe that..."
- Đồng ý có điều kiện: "I partly agree, however...", "While I see the point, I think..."
- Không đồng ý: "I'm not entirely convinced that...", "I respectfully disagree because..."
- Quan điểm cân bằng: "There are valid arguments on both sides, but I lean toward..."

5. Lỗi thường gặp ở Part 3
- Nói quá chung chung: "It's important" — thêm lý do cụ thể
- Thiếu ví dụ: Luôn cho ít nhất 1 ví dụ thực tế
- Lạc đề: Quay lại topic statement nếu bạn đang đi xa
- Nói quá ngắn: Part 3 cần câu trả lời dài hơn Part 1 (4-6 câu)
6. Ví dụ hoàn chỉnh
Topic: "Social media has more negative effects than positive effects on young people."
Mẫu trả lời: "I partly agree with this statement. (Point) While social media offers many benefits like connecting with friends and accessing information, I believe the negative effects on young people are increasingly concerning. (Explain) Research shows that excessive social media use is linked to anxiety, depression, and poor body image among teenagers. The constant comparison with others' seemingly perfect lives creates unrealistic expectations. (Example) For instance, many young people I know spend hours scrolling through Instagram, which often makes them feel inadequate about their own lives. (Link) Therefore, I think we need better digital literacy education to help young people use social media responsibly."
