Task 1 — Thư xin việc (Application Letter)
Thư xin việc là dạng bài phổ biến nhất trong Task 1 Writing VSTEP. Bạn viết thư ứng tuyển một vị trí công việc, nêu lý do quan tâm và trình bày năng lực phù hợp.
1. Cấu trúc thư xin việc

2. Useful Phrases — Thư xin việc
Mở thư:
- I am writing to apply for the position of… advertised on…
- I am interested in applying for the role of… at your company.
Thân bài — Trình độ:
- I graduated from… with a degree in…
- I have … years of experience in…
- During my previous role at…, I was responsible for…
Thân bài — Kỹ năng:
- I am proficient in… / I have strong skills in…
- I believe my qualifications make me a suitable candidate for…

Kết thư:
- I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further.

3. Đề mẫu
You saw an advertisement for a part-time English tutor at a language center in your city. Write a letter to the manager to apply for the job. In your letter:
- explain why you are interested in the position
- describe your qualifications and experience
- say when you are available to start
Write at least 120 words.
4. Bài viết mẫu (~150 từ)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the position of part-time English tutor, which was advertised on your website. I am very interested in this role as I have a strong passion for teaching and helping students improve their English skills.
I graduated from Hanoi University with a Bachelor's degree in English Language. I also hold a VSTEP B2 certificate. Over the past two years, I have worked as a private English tutor for high school students, focusing on grammar, reading, and speaking practice.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have excellent communication and organizational skills. I am patient and able to adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles. I am available to start from the beginning of next month.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further. Thank you for your time and consideration.
