Task 2: Cách viết mở bài — 5 kỹ thuật Paraphrase
Mở bài là đoạn đầu tiên giám khảo đọc. Một mở bài tốt cần paraphrase đề bài (viết lại bằng ngôn ngữ của bạn) và nêu rõ quan điểm. Dưới đây là 5 kỹ thuật paraphrase hiệu quả.
Kỹ thuật 1: Dùng từ đồng nghĩa (Synonyms)
Thay thế từ khóa trong đề bằng từ đồng nghĩa.

Kỹ thuật 2: Đổi cấu trúc câu
Chuyển từ chủ động sang bị động, hoặc đổi thứ tự mệnh đề.
- Đề: "Many companies now allow employees to work from home."
- Paraphrase: "Employees in numerous organisations are now permitted to work remotely."
- Đề: "Governments should invest more in public transport."
- Paraphrase: "Greater investment in public transportation systems by governments is often advocated."
Kỹ thuật 3: General Statement mở đầu
Bắt đầu bằng một nhận định chung về chủ đề trước khi vào thesis.
- "In today's increasingly globalised world, the ability to speak more than one language has become essential."
- "With rapid urbanisation, the question of housing affordability has become a pressing concern."
- "Education is widely regarded as the foundation of personal and national development."
Kỹ thuật 4: Nêu hai quan điểm đối lập
Phù hợp với dạng đề "Discuss both views".
Công thức: While some people believe [view A], others argue that [view B].
- "While some people believe that university education should be free, others argue that students should bear part of the cost."
- "While some maintain that online learning is superior, others contend that traditional classrooms remain more effective."
Kỹ thuật 5: Thesis Statement rõ ràng
Câu cuối mở bài phải nêu rõ quan điểm.

Mở bài mẫu (~40 từ):
Social networking platforms have become an integral part of daily life, particularly among the younger generation. While these platforms offer certain benefits, I largely agree that their overall impact on young people is predominantly negative.
Phân tích: Dùng kỹ thuật 1 (social media → social networking platforms) + kỹ thuật 3 (general statement) + kỹ thuật 5 (thesis rõ ràng "I largely agree").
Lỗi cần tránh khi viết mở bài
- Chép nguyên đề bài: Sẽ không được tính vào số từ và giảm điểm Vocabulary.
- Mở bài quá dài: Không nên vượt quá 40-50 từ, để dành từ cho thân bài.
- Không có thesis: Người chấm không biết bạn sẽ viết theo hướng nào.
- Dùng "I think" lặp lại: Thay bằng "I believe", "In my view", "I am convinced that".
