| 3 | But also: cultural exchange | Toàn cầu hóa cũng mang văn hóa địa phương ra thế giới (phở, áo dài nổi tiếng quốc tế) |
Bài trả lời mẫu (~120 từ)
"I think this statement is partially true but oversimplified. Globalization certainly poses challenges to local cultures. We can see the influence of Western brands, music, and lifestyles everywhere — young Vietnamese people today are more familiar with American pop culture than traditional folk songs.
Language is another concern. UNESCO estimates that a language dies every two weeks, partly because globalization promotes dominant languages like English at the expense of local ones.
However, I don't think globalization necessarily destroys culture. It can also be a platform to share local traditions with the world. Vietnamese cuisine, for example, has gained international recognition through globalization. The key is to embrace the positive aspects of global connection while actively preserving what makes each culture unique."
Follow-up Questions + Gợi ý trả lời
Q1: How can countries preserve their culture in a globalized world?
"Countries can invest in cultural education, support traditional artists and performers, and promote local languages in schools. Vietnam does this through festivals, cultural heritage sites, and programs to teach ethnic minority languages. The government can also use modern media — like YouTube and TikTok — to make traditional culture appealing to younger generations."
Q2: Is it possible to be both modern and traditional?
"Absolutely. Japan is a perfect example — it's one of the most technologically advanced countries yet maintains deep respect for traditions like tea ceremonies and festivals. In Vietnam, many young people wear áo dài with pride while also following global fashion trends. The two are not mutually exclusive."
